A fresh and inviting cafe with plenty of seating inside and out (if the weather permits!). The menu is varied with the expected cafe favourites (think English breakfasts and jacket potatoes). The cakes are particularly good. I enjoyed a yummy slice of carrot cake with my cup of tea. Prices are average so it makes a good afternoon treat.
In terms of provisions for children. They have plenty of good solid highchairs, a children's play corner and a little outside climbing frame (for the very young). The gardens to the back of the cafe are contained (though there is a pond so do keep an eye out) and there is plenty of fruit trees and pretty plants for a curious child to look at. There are some items on the menu for a child so they too can enjoy something - though i can imagine cake will always be the main attraction!
I enjoy visiting this cafe because you not only have the cafe but you also have the heritage centre, food hall, arts and craft section and the garden centre. In all it makes a nice day out especially if you team it with a visit to the nearby Jack and Jill windmills.
Highly recommend a visit especially on a sunny day though as most things are under cover, its also a good place to potter around on a wet day.

Yes we enjoy going there too! Easy to spend a while there and Potter about. Nice to read your review!
